Welcome
For over twenty years one church in north Hays County built or donated eleven homes for needy families. But some families struggle with issues that perpetually hold them down, such as early pregnancy, limited education and lack of job skills. We shifted our focus to helping single-mom families have more secure futures. Money was raised from a campaign between 2011-2014 with the intention of building a duplex as transitional housing for single mom families. Then through a trial-run and much prayer and forethought we decided to use rental stipends to assist with housing. In 2019 we became a community-based Christian ministry, involving people from many different churches.

We have helped women and their children escape homelessness or housing insecurity and advance in careers with futures. We provide housing stipends while the single moms are in our program, along with life and career coaching. One to two years is the range of time a single mom will be in our program.

Our vision is to expand and help more single mom families who would benefit from life-coaching and assistance, in order to advance and thrive.

The ministry is led by a board currently consisting of ten women and two men, chaired by Barbara Penhall. In addition to partnering with single-mom families, the team is planning a Single Moms Expo in early 2023.

Core Beliefs
The Bible is God's word which reveals His nature and His ways.
​
God is infinite. God is one in essence, yet also eternally three in Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Creation, including humans, exists for His glory. All humans are sinners by nature and choice, which separates them from their Creator.
​
For His glory and by His immeasurable love God sent His Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, who lived a perfect life as the God-man. For our sins He suffered, died and was buried. The third day He rose from the dead, and after appearing to, and teaching, his disciples for 40 days, ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father. From there He is a compassionate High Priest, being both God and man.

Because of the mighty work of the God-man, Jesus Christ, in shedding His blood and suffering death to cover sin, God sent the Holy Spirit to dwell in all believers. By His grace and through Christ and through faith in Christ, we receive the gift of eternal life.

The Church is the entire body of believers from all time, yet has local expressions in faithful churches everywhere, whose purpose is to glorify God and proclaim the gospel. God’s people are to do acts of justice and mercy, for the sake of honoring Christ, and proclaiming the gospel.
Our Mission
In Christ's love, we help single-mom families achieve greater financial security and stability. We do this by providing:
1) coaching for life-skills and budgeting
2) housing assistance
3) opportunities to gain job training or college credits to improve career prospects.
